Therapeutic Vibration - Galileo

Enhancing Therapy with Therapeutic Vibration for Improved Motor Learning and Sensory Processing

What is Therapeutic Vibration?

PPT4kids incorporates therapeutic vibration in physical, occupational and speech therapy at all our offices using the Galileo whole body vibration platforms and Mano dumb-bell.

Therapeutic vibration helps to optimize neuroplasticity, promote motor learning and decrease the complications of many childhood conditions that limit movement, sensory processing skills, and learning.

How Does Galileo Work for Kids?

Galileo is a specialized medical device used to help kids with their muscles. There are two types of devices: a platform you stand on and a handheld device. These machines make your muscles work really fast to help them get stronger.

Using these devices, kids can get a lot of muscle exercise quickly and easily, which is especially helpful for those who have difficulty moving around a lot. For example, standing on the platform for just 3 minutes at a setting of 25 vibrations per second can make your muscles contract 4500 times!

Galileo Platform:

The side-alternating platform moves like a seesaw, similar to walking but much quicker.

Provides efficient, low impact but powerful vibration input

It helps your muscles contract (tighten and release) thousands of times in just a few minutes.

This helps kids who have trouble moving easily or quickly to build muscle strength with less effort.

Mano Handheld Device:

The handheld device looks like a small dumbbell.

It helps strengthen the muscles in your hands and arms.

It also makes your muscles more aware of where they are and how they move.

It can help make tight or weak muscles stronger and less sensitive to touch.
