Cursive and Print Handwriting Instruction Program

Master Handwriting in 10 Weeks With a Multisensory Approach


Progressive Pediatric Therapy now offers a 10-week Cursive and Print Handwriting Instruction Program using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum. Each program includes 20 sessions (2 per week), 30–45 minutes each, and is designed to help children develop legible, confident handwriting through multisensory strategies.


This program is designed for children ages 4 and up for Print Instruction, and ages 6 and up for Cursive instruction.


**This is a private pay program and is not covered by insurance.**

Pre-Program Consultation Required


All participants must complete a 30-minute readiness consultation (fee applies). This ensures your child is ready to benefit from instruction.

The consultation includes:

  • Screening fine motor and foundational writing skills
  • Observing ability to follow multi-step directions
  • Recommending OT referral if additional support is needed

Print Handwriting Instruction Program

Recommended Ages: Pre-K through 2nd grade
Program Duration: 10 Weeks

Program Overview

Our Print Handwriting Program helps children:

  • Develop correct letter formation
  • Improve spacing and alignment
  • Strengthen pencil grip and hand muscles
  • Build confidence writing their name, letters, and words
  • Using multisensory tools to enhance learning!

Cursive Handwriting Instruction Program

Recommended Ages: 2nd grade and up
Program Duration: 10 Weeks
Sessions Per Week: 2 sessions (30–45 minutes each)

Handwriting Without Tears® Cursive

Program Overview

Our Cursive Handwriting Program focuses on:

  • Smooth letter connections
  • Correct formation and legibility
  • Efficient, fluid writing style
  • Writing words and sentences in cursive
  • Using multisensory tools to enhance learning!

Consultation & Readiness Screening


Before enrolling, every child completes a 30-minute consultation.

What to Expect

  • Fine motor and print readiness screening
  • Observation of pencil grasp, posture, and attention
  • Sample writing tasks
  • Parent interview about developmental history

Consultation Fee applies.

If your child is not ready, we will recommend home activities or Occupational Therapy before starting.
