Bio

Ms. Phyllis serves as Speech Director of Community Sites and brings a broad background in both education and communication disorders to her work with children. She is experienced with the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and has worked in both school and clinical settings, including owning her own practice in Houston, Texas.

Her clinical focus includes children with language delays, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, articulation and phonological disorders, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome.

Phyllis earned a Master's degree in elementary education from New York University, where she also taught second grade with special needs inclusion, before earning her Master's degree in communication disorders from Nova Southeastern University in 1997.
