Bio

Ms. Erica is a Staff Physical Therapist working across PPT's community sites.

Licensed as a Physical Therapist since 2004, Erica has practiced in school-based therapy, early intervention, and home care settings, treating children with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, developmental delays, idiopathic toe walking, spina bifida, torticollis, and rare genetic diseases. She is a wheelchair/equipment and orthotics specialist and is trained in John Barnes Myofascial Release, PAMs/NMES, aquatics, and serial/turtle bracing, which she uses to help children improve function. Erica has also taught a continuing education course on myofascial release alongside a colleague.

Erica earned a dual Bachelor's in Health Science and Master's in Physical Therapy from Touro College of Health Sciences in Bayshore, NY, in 2004, and returned to Touro for her Transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007; she is also a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, having trained at The New Center College of Wholistic Health in 1997. Outside of the clinic, Erica describes herself as a proud 'crazy cat lady' who loves making all kinds of crafts and spending time outdoors.
