Bio

Deanna is a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) who joined the PPT family in August 2025. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University, Virginia, and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University Maryland.

Deanna has a heart for working with children and their families, helping each child discover the tools and strategies that make communication fun and meaningful. She believes that therapy works best when it’s a team effort and loves collaborating with families and other professionals to support each child’s growth. With her younger clients, Deanna especially enjoys using play-based therapy and everyday routines to make learning natural, engaging, and effective.

She has worked in a variety of settings—including schools, private practices, and skilled nursing facilities—and with people of all ages, from newborns to adults over 80. Her experience includes supporting individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and more.

Outside of the therapy room, Deanna enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Kallie and Kody, exploring new places (she recently moved from the Northeast to Florida), and picking up new hobbies like thrifting, yoga, and hiking. She’s excited to bring her passion for communication and play to the PPT community!
