Bio

Karla graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida in May 2021. During her graduate program, she completed several internships that sparked her passion for working with children. Karla has experience working with children with various diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, and developmental delays. She uses a variety of treatment approaches including sensory integration, DIR/Floortime, and neurodevelopmental treatment. Karla is passionate about helping children and their families achieve their goals through meaningful activities. She believes in a family-centered approach and enjoys collaborating with families and other professionals to provide the best care for each child. In her free time, Karla enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and traveling.
